When the going gets tough, the tough gets going...

I just wonder how tough do you have to be to get going in such circumstances? Life has been a little jolting for me lately. I have been one of the most impatient persons around and that has been well tested. Since I am still moving…and still trying to stay happy…I will assume that I have passed with flying colors. Huh!! I have literally taken one day at a time this past 6-7 months. But I am exhausted now and I want definite answers!!! How long could you really accept this unpredictability? For a person like me who accepts only black or white and no gray, being inside this gray area for this long without complaining (well, with a little bit of complaining, I would say), it is an achievement in itself. So I guess, I have learnt something out of all this!

    Me first!!. Treat please!!. :)

Nice post Mannat. Yeah, when the going gets tough the tough gets going. I too believe in that quote. If its all happyness in life, there would be no fun. Its interesting, only when we pass through the ups n lows. And thats how life goes. Just relax, when you had a bad day. Talk with your friends. Over the times, I learned to be more optimistic when I pass through bad times. :)

Mannat.. patience is the virtue here and nice to see that even thgh u r a black/white person u accepted to be in gray area for sometime.. as u do it more u will enjoy the gray area..

Life isn't black or white.. shades of gray do exist and it is best in our interests if we learn how to paint in gray..

but hope the bad times are gone and so is the unpredictability.. and ofcourse when u r in the gray area.. optimism.. will help you..

Govind...sure you will get a treat. The only condition is that you would have to come to US for that:)
I understand that life could not be a bed of roses...thorns are bound to be a part of it. And it's really not the tough times that are bothering me. It's just the unpredictability and the uncertainty. It's not easy to keep moving in such circumstances. I talk about it a lot...to my husband, my sister, my friends. But since they all love me, their reasonings are biased. So in the end I realize that I am hearing the same thing from them over and over again.

Vidhi...Thanks a, lot. And I sure do you the faith...but I am afraid that if this continues, the faith will fade away too.

Vivek...I have learnt a lot in these past few months. One of the main characteristics that used to define me was "impatient"...but I proved to be a very patient person during this time. It's really not about the gray area that bothers me. It's more about the "maybe, could be" when I want to hear a "yes or a no". Like everyone else, I have passed through the exhilarating highs and bumpy lows in my life...and have learnt my share of good and bad things from each such experience. I am sure this will end too...but like I said, it's just getting to the highest level of my patience, and I just want it to end soon. I really have been very calm about it and not made many people realize that something has been bothering me. One big thing that I have lost in all this is my optimism and I am just struggling to get that back somehow. Oh well, all good & bad things come to an end, don't they??

    Poonam...thanks so much.
